Children's Cultural Festival Pikkuprovinssi

Pikkuprovinssi is a Children's Cultural Festival organized by the Children's Cultural Centre Louhimo of the city of Seinäjoki. The next Pikkuprovinssi is organized 16.5. and 19.5. The event area is located at Törnävänsaari, Seinäjoki, about 3 km away from the Seinäjoki city centre. Thu 16.5. 17:00 Elementary school’s band event

Bands from the elementary schools of Seinäjoki and Ilmajoki play in the Törnävä pavilion. Free admission. There is a Café in the area.

 

Sun 19.5. 12:00-16:00 Festival Day

The Festival Day of Pikkuprovinssi offers diverse cultural activities for children and families. The program consists of workshops and performances that are located in the beautiful area of Törnävänsaari.

A theatre performance by Teatteri Tie. The performance is in Finnish. Duration 30 minutes.

12:30 Lastenmusiikkiorkesteri Loiskis

Loiskis is a Finnish children's music orchestra. Performance is held in the Törnävä Pavilion, duration 45 minutes.

13:15 Children’s Samba group Samba Tropical


13:45 Children’s dance group Glow Dance

14:00 NAM trio and Silja Palomäki

NAM trio and Silja Palomäki perform children's music that is based on Southern Osthrobotnian folk music. Duration 45 minutes.

Important information

Arriving to Pikkuprovinssi

The event area is located at Törnävänsaari, Seinäjoki, about 3 km away from the Seinäjoki city centre. The nearest street address of the area is Törnäväntie 20. We recommend arriving to Pikkuprovinssi by bike or by foot.  If you arrive by car, please note that there is a limited amount of parking spots near the event area. The event parking area is situated in the Törnävä sport field (address: Huhtalantie)

Food and drinks

There is a Café and Juice Bar at the event. You can also eat your own picnic lunch at the event.

 

Accessibility

We want to make sure everyone has a great event experience, and therefore people with reduced mobility will have easy access in the area. The area mostly consists of smooth fields and paths. The toilets are equipped with disabled toilets.

Child care room

In the Café building you will also find a child care room, where you can sit down and care for your baby. Another child care room is beThe room is equipped with microwave for warming up food.


ATM’s

You can pay with cash or with the most common debit and credit cards in the Café’s. There is no ATM in the event area. The closest one is in Törnävä (address: Vuoritie 6).

 

Recycling

In Pikkuprovinssi we want to keep the area clean and recycle trashes. Trash cans for mixed, bio, glass and metal waste are by the  Café Lounaskahvila Sapuska.

Smoking

Pikkuprovinssi is a non-smoking children’s festival. Please be considerate towards other visitors and do not smoke in the area.
